Notts County can confirm that popular loan signing Alan Judge has extended his stay at the club by signing on emergency loan from Blackburn Rovers, as the two clubs look to agree a permanent deal for the talented midfielder.
Judge, who arrived at Meadow Lane on loan in August, has made 13 appearances for the Magpies and has proved a popular addition to the ranks at Meadow Lane with his trickery and flair causing defences problems throughout the season.
It was his impressive form that led Notts manager Paul Ince to look to seal a permanent deal for the 22-year-old and the club have been in negotiations with the player's parent club Blackburn.
The two sides are believed to be close to reaching an agreement for the transfer, but due to the number of loan signings that have returned to their clubs this week and the injuries that the squad are carrying, Ince has made use of the emergency loan facility to secure Judge's services in the short-term until the permanent deal can be finalised.
